Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 14, 2026

Siakly (“Siakly”, “we”, “us”) lets you build a personal “link in bio” page at siakly.me. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Siakly you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — your email address and password (passwords are stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google instead of a password.
  • Profile content — your username, display name, bio, the links, text, and cards you add to your page, and any images, photos, or files you upload (such as your avatar, banner, or gallery images).
  • Messages you send us, for example when you ask for support.

Connected accounts (optional)

If you choose to connect a social account (Instagram, Facebook, or Threads) to show live stats on a card, we receive and store an access token for that account, encrypted at rest, plus the public data the feature needs — such as your handle, follower count, and recent public posts. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the stored token. (This feature may be limited or unavailable while it is in development.)

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage & analytics — when someone visits a public Siakly page, we record limited analytics such as a visit count and coarse, non-identifying signals (for example approximate region, device or browser type, and the referring link) so page owners get basic visit insights.
  • Log & technical data — IP address, timestamps, and error logs, used to operate and secure the service.
  • Cookies — we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure forms. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate Siakly — create your account, render your page, host your media, and show the content you choose.
  • To display your public profile to visitors (see “Your public profile” below).
  • To give page owners basic visit analytics.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
  • To communicate with you about your account, security, and important changes (for example, password-reset emails).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to build advertising profiles.

Your public profile

Siakly is a publishing tool. When you publish your page, the content on it — your username, display name, bio, links, images, and any stats you choose to show — is public, visible to anyone with the link, and may be indexed by search engines. Don’t put anything on your page you wouldn’t want to be public.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run Siakly:

  • Service providersthat process data on our behalf under contract, including hosting (Hostinger), file & image storage (UploadThing), our database (PostgreSQL, via Supabase), transactional email (Resend), sign-in (Google), and the social platforms you connect (Meta — Instagram, Facebook, Threads). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. This list may change as the service evolves.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Siakly, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if Siakly is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of it.

Third-party services

When you sign in with Google or connect a Meta account, that provider’s own terms and privacy policy also apply (see Google and Meta). Links you add to your page point to third-party sites we don’t control; visiting them is at your own risk.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, content, uploaded media, and connection tokens from our active systems; routine backups are purged on a rolling basis. We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your rights and choices

  • Access & edit — view and change your account and profile content any time from your dashboard.
  • Delete — delete your account, which removes your data as described above, or disconnect any connected social account at any time.
  • Email — we only send service-related email; we don’t send marketing email without your consent.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability) under laws like the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise them, contact us at support@siakly.me.

For connected Meta accounts, you can also remove Siakly’s access from the platform’s settings; we honor Meta’s deauthorize and data-deletion requests and purge the related data.

Security

We protect your information with measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashing of passwords, and encryption of stored social-account tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.

Children’s privacy

Siakly isn’t directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

International users

We operate Siakly and use service providers that may process data in countries other than yours. By using Siakly, you understand your information may be processed in locations with different data-protection laws than your own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
